About
Lisa is a book reader, blog writer, silent ninja and a wannabe ballerina.
She admits to loving middle grades and young adult literature way more than any grown person should. In a past life, Lisa worked as a screenwriter for such fancy pants companies as Disney, MGM and Paramount but found that she didn’t quite fit into the “Hollywood” mold. Now that she is writing books for and about kids, she is a whole lot happier.
The first book in the middle grades (ages 8 -12) series “The Wormwood Trilogy” entitled “The Secret Letters” will be out in the fall of 2012.
“Raise A Reader: 25 Effective Ways to Get Kids Reading” is her first book for parents. A companion book “The 250 Best Books for Kids” will be out any minute now.
She splits her time between California and Wisconsin. (She actually just lives in LA but goes home to Wisconsin for a few weeks every year.)
